dear bookworm,
as for the word lost, the dictionary
does not hold enough meaning for it,
only saying that: to be lost or to lose
something is to be unable
to find the intended object or locate
the intended path,
whichever is applicable.
it does not speak of the desolation that walks
hand in hand with the lost-ness, does not speak
of the feeling one gets, waking in the morning
from a dream where you are walking towards me
out in the street, with a soft smile on your face,
does not know the feeling of my stomach, giddy,
when I saw your face in my sleep, does not hear
your name halfway out of my lips.
why do you search for the word lost
in those books, when I can sit down and tell you
all about it?
